Brìghde Chaimbeul (Bree-chu CHaym-bul) is one of the most innovative voices in experimental Celtic music and Scottish smallpipes; a bellows-powered bagpipe with a dual-tone drone. She has developed a completely unique way of arranging her music that emphasizes the rich, textural sound of the instrument; the constancy of sound that creates a trance-like atmosphere, played with seductive, virtuosic ease.
Her latest album, “Carry Them With Us”, featuring acclaimed artist Colin Stetson, has been well received. She was also featured on Caroline Polacheck’s groundbreaking album “Desire, I Want To Turn Into You”, as well as Stetson’s new album.
