Brighde Chaimbeul 【GB-SCO】

Brìghde Chaimbeul is a leading force in Celtic experimentalism and a true master of the Scottish smallpipes. A native Gaelic speaker from the Isle of Skye, she has brought these mellower, emotive pipes to the global stage, deeply rooting her music in language and culture while pushing into uncharted territory.

Chaimbeul’s unique arrangement emphasizes the instrument’s rich textural drones, creating a trance-like atmosphere delivered with virtuosic fluidity. Drawing from global piping traditions, her latest album broadens her sonic palette with ambient, avant-garde, and electronic influences. Her music is haunting, entrancing, and breathtakingly beautiful, transforming and redefining Scottish folk for the 21st century.

Live visuals by Jonny Ashworth & John Smith complement the immersive experience. The album’s theme, Sunwise (Gaelic for clockwise, symbolizing prosperity), embraces winter and the ancient customs of gathering for ceilidhs, where music blurs the lines between imagination and reality.
