Since 2005, France has been celebrating a single, hypnotic groove—for as long as time allows. A drum rhythm almost stripped of ornamentation, a single-note bassline that barely shifts, and Yann Gourdon’s screeching, wailing, grinding hurdy-gurdy fuse into a sonic undertow. Their live show physically envelops the audience, the music resembling a ritual offering: the spectacle becomes a challenge for both mind and senses—archaic and irresistible.
