On Ghadr (meaning ‘Betrayal’), Sandy Chamoun, Anthony Sahyoun, and Jad Atoui play with chaos: surges of sparkling electronics meet distortions paired with classical Arabic vocal traditions, reimagined here for a new era. The tracks are built on pulsating loops of guitar and modular synthesis, with the former acting as a trigger for the unpredictable sounds of the latter.
