Giorgi Koberidze is an electronic and classical music composer from Georgia. Giorgi’s artistic endeavors involve the seamless fusion of electronic and classical instrument timbres, a focus that underscored his master’s thesis at Tbilisi State Conservatoire. The continuation of this research is his latest musical piece “Forests, Tales, Cities, Forests” that won the “Tsinandali Award,’ the main artistic award in Georgia.

Giorgi has been invited to Innsbruck to join a 3-week artist SLASH residency. The results of this residency will be presented in a live performance on the 26th of September and they are considered an experiment and an artistic reflection, as well as an attempt to create a means—a vehicle for dialogue and communication.

Slash Transition is a 4-year European project that questions the place and role of the sound artist in a territory in transition. In Austria, it is represented by openspace.innsbruck in collaboration with local partners.
