Monsieur Doumani from Cyprus celebrate a new, psychedelic kind of avant-folk, a danceable feverish storm of stringed instruments, polyphonic vocals and a low end determined by the trombone. While always staying true to their Cypriot roots, the musicians now have the

freedom they need to draw inspiration from the raw power of rock, the wild hues of Turkish psychedelia, or the hypnotic allure of West African music. A massive sound that overwhelms the listener like an electric shock, starting like a tsunami with the first note and not letting up until the end.
