Musician, designer, and artist Rafaele Andrade (NL) blends new technologies, composition, and performance into immersive soundscapes. With her custom-built string instrument, ‘Knurl,’ she creates a distinctive sound that oscillates between acoustic intimacy and electronic experimentation. As part of ‘Peripheral Grounds – Resonant Centers,’ she will be an Artist in Residence in October 2026 at GRUND1535 in Rietz. There, she will develop works at the intersection of sound, voice, and performance, exploring questions of resonance, language, and belonging.
