Širom SVN

The epic and moving compositions of Slovenian “imaginary folk” trio Širom are powered by acoustic and often handmade instruments. Their sound ranges from the singular, almost original ringing of cattle bells to the frayed sound of a viola to an almost oriental, gentle, trembling, creeping drama of an acoustic Swans song.

Polyrhythms and various rubbed and driven textures underline an eventful sound spectrum and explore unknown musical worlds. Instinctively and partly by accident, Širom impress live with their vague waves and illusionary echoes of place, setting, time and escapism.
