WaqWaq Kingdoms Shigeru Ishihara and Kiki Hitomi blur the boundaries between traditional Japan and contemporary electronics, between Jamaican dancehall and 8-bit techno, between African polyrhythms and experimental music with their infinite range of stylistic adventures. As a sound producer, Shigeru aka Scotch Rolex / DJ Scotch Egg is an unmistakable alien orbiting the galaxy of experimental dance music. Singer and lyricist Kiki Hitomi was a member of King Midas Sound and is also a celebrated illustrator and designer.
