The band ZINN has been around since winter 2018, and their self-titled debut album was their first appearance outside of Vienna’s Gürtellokale in 2020, presenting their chanson punk. They address the world in a research, fearless, melancholic, urgent and longing manner.
ZINN are always engaged in dialectical discourse. Their second studio album – Chthuluzän – is a concept album based on the theories of philosopher Donna Haraway. It outlines a new form of coexistence: becoming and relating to all living beings on the planet, whether they crawl, swim, walk or thrive. Interwoven with eco- and queerfeminist influences, it combats patriarchy and capitalism.
